Summer is busy. The few dates we had open a few weeks ago are quickly filling up with all kinds of things. We’re currently on our last day here in Orange Beach, AL with Student Life. It has been an awesome camp to be a part of. We have loved the groups of students we’ve had the pleasure of hanging with and leading in worship. We’ve also loved our time with our new friend David Nasser (www.davidnasser.com). So many many cookouts later, it’s nearly time to go back to the real world where you’re not on the beach every day and needless to say we are sad. But nonetheless, we are totally excited about something that happens tomorrow… “What’s that?” you ask… Well tomorrow, June 28th Unhindered’s first single, “You Are My Creator” (previously known as Holy Is Your Name) goes to radio! Remember a little while back when I mentioned that we would need to rally the troops?? Well folks, here’s your chance! Starting tomorrow, if you would like to hear Unhindered in your city, call your local Christian music station(s) and just tell them! Stations need to hear what you like so be sure to call in and let them know you’d like to hear “You Are My Creator” at least one time every ten minutes for the next year… We’re working on some things to help facilitate that for you so keep checking back on the blog as we release even more information in coming weeks (Including the release date!!! oooooohhhh!!!). Yes, Jorts (aka jean-shorts). Tonight, I made a pair (only after not one but TWO failed attempts). I kept thinking it would be really funny to make some absurdly short ones but it kept backfiring. I actually looked like I was TRYING and that is never good when being the funny guy. So I guess at this point I should explain myself.
Tomorrow, we leave for THE BEACH! We’ll be in PCB with Prestonwood Baptist Church from TX for the next 4 days. After that we’ll be a part of some other events then were back at THE BEACH for 9 more days with Student Life. Needless to say, I needed some beach apparel. As most of you know we rock stars tend to wear only black, all the time, guyliner, and pale white makeup to make ourselves look cool. A good pair of shorts are just not in my wardrobe. But thanks to our good friend and front of house engineer JJ, I was blessed with the idea of making some jorts for my travels. In other, cooler news, we have a release date for the record as well as some other things that we’ll be sharing with you guys in coming weeks. We have been greatly anticipating the rolling of this ball and the days are fast approaching. We’ll need your help of course so be ready!!!
Now to sleep. It’s nearly 1 AM and I should really consider some sleep. PEACE!
