Sooo… I must say that we miss the bus! We’ve been flying a ton lately complete with the security lines, oversize fees, and compressed heads so hopping back on ol’ black (shout out to Newsong on that one :-) ) feels SOOO GOOD. Go to bed, wake up… You’re there! What are the worst flying experiences you’ve had?? We’ve had some bad ones so these had better be good!

Sprayberry’s BBQ

Mar 20, 2008 in Uncategorized

photo.jpg  So I think every town in the USA has a good BBQ joint… Or at least what they would describe as a good BBQ joint. All I mean by that is that when you have a local place you love, you tend to be a little biased. When you have the chance to travel like we do you get to try alot of food… A LOT of food…So here we are at Sprayberry’s BBQ in Newnan GA on our way to a weekend in Gulf Shores. Got a wife and some friends along for the ride and stopping in for some local grub. It’s pretty good. Nice mac & cheese anyway. So what’s the awesome local food joint in your town? Never know when we might be swinging through and need some food ideas.

So I think it’s safe to say that I am officially tired. Pat, Road Manager Jay, and I have been moving into our new place along with two of our friends here in Atlanta and things have gone off without a hitch… Well thats if you leave out the part about the studio not being packed at all when the truck got there and the U-haul battery going dead not once, not twice, but thrice (Yeah I said it! Thrice!). So now I’m at ikea picking up a bit of decor for the place before I go to church for rehearsal. Looking forward to seeing the beach tomorrow in Gulf Shores! Maybe some of you there?? Hmmmm….

Third Day has Gomers, Unhindered has…?

Mar 15, 2008 in Uncategorized

Hey Unhindered fans… I think we need to come up with some sort of creative name for you guys. For instance, Third Day has Gomers… Why can’t we have something cool like that? Anyway, things have been going great lately. The past several weekends have kept us very busy and things look to be staying that way for a while so be sure to check out the calendar and come out and worship with us whenever we’re nearby. In other news, alot of people have been asking about the next Unhindered record. We released City Streets a few years ago and we agree… it’s about that time. We’ve been in the studio kicking out some demos pretty strong writing for a new record which looks like we’ll record starting sometime in April. So everyone get ready… more cool music coming your way. To keep updated just sign up for our mailing list here on the site and we’ll send you the latest news regarding the that, as well as any other way cool stuff that is going on. Till next time…

New York, New York

Mar 10, 2008 in News

We just got done playing in New York City for the first BattleCry event of the year.  It was incredible to see thousands of young people come together to worship God and be challenged to use their passions, dreams, giftings, and influence for the glory of God!  Youth pastors and leaders from all over the Northeast have been praying together regularly just in preparation for this event, and I believe we saw and will continue to see the effects of this unity in the Spirit!!  For me personally, it was such an honor to do ministry with people such as T.D. Jakes, Kirk Franklin, and David Crowder, all of which were huge influences to my spiritual growth over the past few years and inspirations to many of the us in the band.  I am currently sitting at the Unhindered basement studio working with the guys on a new song for the upcoming record.  There have been some late late nights at the studio, and some good times (I wish you could all just come hang out for a few hours and see the craziness that goes on with my best friends).   Love it!!!!!!
