Sooo… I must say that we miss the bus! We’ve been flying a ton lately complete with the security lines, oversize fees, and compressed heads so hopping back on ol’ black (shout out to Newsong on that one :-) ) feels SOOO GOOD. Go to bed, wake up… You’re there! What are the worst flying experiences you’ve had?? We’ve had some bad ones so these had better be good!

      It would mean a lot!

when he said that she was a munchkin.

      My worst flying experience….
      hmmmm….
well… it was my sister, brother and me… we always would fly alone to visit my dad. One time, there was turbulence… and we are sitting in our seats and this old lady is sitting next to me and starts telling me this story of the old days near the war. and on and on for more than an hour. And I am sitting there 7 years old, clutching onto the arm rests and smiling while i am trying not to get sick or cry. Once it stopped. the flight attendant came over and started asking the lady to be quite. The lady was yelling at her while I was stuck in the middle. Then once the flight attendant left, the lady asked me If i could help her to the bathroom and bring her anti-itch cream… It was gross. I started crying and I got to sit with a flight attendant the rest of the way!
Gotta say though… old people need better denture cream, so that they don’t keep having to re adjust them next to you…ew.
p.s… if you were flying Charlotte Douglas to get to Winston-Salem, its always that bad. :[[

Well…..I travel a lot for my age… I would say flying back from a missions trip(Dominican Republic) and we got stuck in the airplane for 2 hours. When we got to our next flight we almost missed it by 1 minute. Another time when we came back from the DR, my dad got sniffed out by the dog, he had the smell of POPTARTS, the toaster pastry, on his bag. Poptarts, no joke. More will come I am sure but I never let them ruin the trip.

    4. Joahnna Says:

I would say I have experienced two worst flight experience ever.

First was during a flight to New Zealand from Sydney, Australia. It was my first time. I can never forget how my ears hurt when the plane started landing. I was literally CRYING because it hurt so much. I felt really bad. Good thing no one saw me. But the look from my brother’s face could tell I am so much in pain. I felt like not flying anymore. But I still made it back home.

The second was at Hong Kong International Airport. We had to wait for like… 7 HOURS… because of bad weather. When we were on the plane, the plane literally shook when it took off! The sky was really gray and cloudy. But we made it to Canada safe and sound!

Well, NOTHING beats Jaycee McCarthy’s experience! ^_^

need a bad flight experience, well I got one!:
I was on a 14 hour flight from Atlanta to Germany. My flight was delayed 8 hours so i had to sleep in the airport the entire night. It was creepy. Finally, I boarded the plane and then had to wait another hour and a half because of fuel line difficulties. Then, I got stuck between these to overweight, old guys! They snored for hours on end, and I swear that the one on the right’s head was tilted just so his droll dripped on my shirt!!It was so nasty. And the plane food made me sick twice and those barf bags don’t hold, much let me tell ya! I went through 4 round trip. And when I had to go to the bathroom, The lady before me must have just had a big BM, cause it stunk so bad in there!

so yeah, I had a couple bad flights, but that’s the top! And I took a shower as soon as we got there. I was completely grossed out!!

    8. Devan Says:

      Hmm lemme think,
my worst flying experience deffinitly has to have been when I flew to FL with my family. Since there was five of us flying we got these seats that face each other and so some of us had to go backwards. Well as it happens, me and my little brother are the ones going backwards (the two people with the weakest stomachs). So anyway my little brother threw up all over me after like ten minutes into the flight and then I started throwing up and it was a time that I would really like to forget! But hey, even though experiences with family memebers such as taht can be a pain, I still love em anyways!

    13. Joahnna Says:

I am enjoying all these comments!

For Marabeth, I salute you for being able to endure that trip!

And for Devan, I know what you mean by flying over Gulf of Mexico– hurricanes! YIKES!

And lastly for Miranda… I would just rather go for the 50 push ups! Hehe!

I enjoyed your entries! I guess everybody did too!

HAVE A SAFE ONE THE NEXT TIME YOU GUYS GO ON A TRIP!

      my worst flying experience-
we went on vacation to florida. on the way home the tornadoes in atlanta messed up our flight schedule. we flew out of tampa florida about 2 hrs. after our scheduled time to take off. we landed in atlanta and had to sit in the air plane on the tar mac for 30 minutes because there were so many planes trying to unload their passengers. once we finally got out of the plane, we had to run to find our connection flight to grand rapids michigan (our destination.) when we got to our terminal we realized that the plane we were supposed to be on left without us. we had to wait in the information line (with a bunch of others who were in the same situation as us) for 2 hours…no joke. finally when it was our turn to find out what we had to do (and realize that by this time it was 1 in the morning) we found out that we would be staying the night in the ariport…and also realize that i have 5 people in my family including 2 little sisters. the next morning i was so tired and I swear that I probably slept about 2 hours the whole night. We ended up getting on the first flight out to grand rapids at 10 o‘clock (am)…it was quite the experience!

    17. Jaycee Says:

      wow…
      thats crazyy!
      i am sorry!

    18. Mikey Says:

Can I have an extension please?

These words should be feared by any traveler. An extension refers to a seat belt extension. This means the person is too fat and should have probably purchased two seats. This happened to me on the way home to Boston from Atlanta. The person’s butt covered her seat and half of mine.
I was in a middle seat, and on the other side was Germany’s lone comic asking me if I had enough room. I was strapped into the seat like a surf board…..

    19. Brittany Says:

I have to say that my worst experence in an Airport was in Atlanta, GA on my way home from Texas after my first missions trip with Teen Mania… my parents drove me from Maryland to Texas cuz I had never flown before… so my first time was on the way to the Dominican Rebulic with my team.. that was not to bad cuz I stayed in my seat then on the way back to Texas I got up once and got sick so then when I was going home from Texas to Maryland I had a layover in Atlanta… well I got to the terminal where I was supposed to be and (had stayed up the whole night befor, had no sleep) well I thought I would just rest against my book bag cuz I was lucky engough to get a seat the place was packed….my flight was going to leave in just a few min………………………I woke up and there was no one around any more and the board behind the desk no longer said Washington DC but said Tampa Fl, I freaked and went up and asked the lady and she pointed out the window and said there goes the plane( mind you I was only 14 at the time) anyway to make a long long story, long haha I got a new flight and made it home 4 hours later…I have learned I can not standing up at anytime while in the air and not to fall asleep in the airport and to get a full nights sleep before flighing. This year, six years since my first missions trip I am going on a second one and will remeber this when I am flighing from Maryland to California for the Mexico Missions trip..

    20. Andy! Says:

Welll i have only been on an airplane 5 times. They were all perty bad. This wasnt a REALLY bad expirience (idk how to spell it..again.) but we had to celebrate new years while on the plane. I didnt care for it so i stayed asleep. Then someone spilled umm that drink that starts with a “ch”, ya , anywho i couldnt stand the smell so i took a shower in the sink. Then got in trouble cuz i missed that sign that said “please dont take more then 10min.” pshh oh well.

    21. Hannah Scheufler :) Says:

To Jaycee Mccarthy, My name is Hannah Scheufler, i am 11, and everyone calls me a munchkin. Tell your friend Hannah that another girl named Hannah can relate to her experience. Except for the SHUT UP, Pat part.

    22. Lisa Says:

Well, honestly I love flying anywhere. But my worst experience with flying was eating raw scrambled eggs. YUCK that made me sick… as a matter of fact, I got out of my seat when the plane was landing and was told to sit and wait. The good thing was I never really got sick just my stomach hurt. Oh and I had a TV on the planes I was flying in, hard to believe my TV did not work so me and my friend had to switch seats the entire flight which was 14hrs long. I love flying!!!
