So this might be the first actual serious post we’ve done on here… well it’s sort of serious I guess. We just got home from the great Nashvegas where we led for an Acquire the Fire event there. It was an awesome weekend as usual. We had alot of friends come up with us or visit us while we were in town. Our friend Miriam from Atlanta came up and sang with us and for once, we were able to kind of share a taste of what it is we do when we disappear from home all the time. As for normal life back home, a bunch of us went to see an awesome artist by the name of Dave Barnes who was in town tonight. It’s always so much fun to be able to go to a club somewhere and hear some great music after you’ve had the big ol’ ROCK SHOW screaming in your face all weekend. Anyways, all of this to say he is def one of our faves and you should all go check out his music and what he does… maybe… buy a CD???? (pinky to lip)  So for now, I’m lying in bed with Jack (Jack the dog! What were you thinking??? Wow…) about to get some shut eye before I hit the studio tomorrow. All in all… just a good weekend.  Let’s hear about you guys’ weekends… Family? Travel? Relaxing? Dave Barnes shows? Peace! Christian

      My weekend was boring. I was bored out of my mind because ATF is this weekend and last weekend I was at a concert last weekend and amazing things happened to me that happened to nobody else..It’s good that there is Church on Sunday because it keeps me sane. I’m glad yours was great! Have fun in Denver while I’m in Baltimore. :(

    3. Jordan Grice! Says:

      My paw paw turned 90 years old this saturday! woah I know! So I went to my aunts and we ate BBQ and other random foods in celebration… because everyone knows you can’t celebrate without food!

      AND Pastor Simon from Kenya came and talked to our youth group on Sunday! Which was amazing! So that is what I did and Im glad you guys had a great weekend too! ♥

    4. Lauren Says:

      My weekend was a blur of soccer! My sister had a game Friday (forty-five minutes of rush hour traffic away!), then one Saturday (we had to wait thirty minutes for the lightening to stop, and then watch her play in rain!), and then Sunday. The only bright spot was church, where I kept nursery for the second Sunday in a row and missed out on my dad’s preaching (surprise, surprise, ’cause normally I complain about it–I think it’s a PK thing!).
      And guess what’s next week?! A whole soccer tournament! Bet yall’ve never had THAT much soccer!
      Yall’s weekend sounds a whole lot better than mine, and I wish I could be at another ATF.
      Love and blessings, ~Lauren

    5. Courtney Yearick Says:

      Awwwww thanks for asking….Friday I went to a suprise birthday party for my friend Whitney. She turned 18!! Thats not as old as Jordans Paw Paw but its close!! hahaha

      Speaking of Jordan, on Saturday we went shopping and she proceded to leave all her stuff everywhere!!no lie.. we had to back track almost every time we went to a store because she realized that she had left something!! fun right?? After all that exercise we were feeling parched and thought a good venti double chocolate frappichio from Starbucks would be great!!It was untill she left it at Vicki Vicki Hush Hush (Victoria’s Secret)!!!

      On Sunday I did everything that Jordan said, except she forgot to mention we went to softball practice!! It too, was very fun!! Jordan then proceded to hit 2 of the 15 balls that the coach pitched to her….I really have no room to talk since I only hit 3 of them. Our first game is on Saturday, feel free to come if you want.
      ~~~Have a good week!!
    6. Jordan Grice! Says:
      Let me just say I didn’t leave that much! I only left 2 things and Jordan Grover picked up the drink….. and proceeded to throw it away….hehe. So i guess she learned from my mistakes and decided to look around before we left…in the event that someone may leave something! But that rarely ever happens with responsible people like us!
      haha
    7. Ida(FREAKY FRESH FAN) Says:
      this is for Lauren! :)
    10. Jennifer Says:
      This weekend I went with my band to Dallas for a contest where we got the highest ranking as well as ‘Outstanding Band of the Day’! On Saturday, we went to Six Flags Over Texas and had a blast! If any of yall go there, you have to ride on Titan and Mr. Freeze. So my weekend was great until I had to come back and do homework. That part was not fun.
    11. Spalding Says:
      well last weekend i babysat for 3 kids and they were all under 3 years! Then while i was there a storm hit and the tornado siren went off! talk about stressfull! Me a little skiny girl trying to hall all 3 kids down to the basement! AHH CRAZYNESS!!!
    12. Becca Says:
      well, my weekend included going to dancing lessons on friday night and then hightailing it over to my friends surprise birthday party. on saturday sleeping in instead of going to work(yay!) then i had a soccer game in the wind and the rain which was pretty much not all that fun. after that i just kind of laid around the house trying to think of something to do, but failed. on sunday, i went to chuch which was fun then i had another soccer game. then of course just after i’d gotten out of the shower my friend called to see if i wanted to go play soccer at the park with her and i did. so that’s pretty much all i did this weekend!
    13. Joseph Says:
      Hey Ida!
      My Dad’s a senior pastor in NC. He preaches almost every Sunday and my sister and I tease him about it being bad! I guess in reality, I really do enjoy his sermons.
    17. BigBro Says:
      Well mine has been great!
      We went to South Flordia from texas and did a nonstop (other than for restroom breaks) drive that was 17 or 18 hours! It was great! Then we got there and had fun for a few days! Now we are in North Florida and we will be here till this weekend when we will drive back home to Texas…
      I LOVE FLORIDA!!!!! It is the BEST state in the USA! lol
      And I have not even hit the beach yet… I am going to tomorrow cause we are staying at grandparents and it is only four blocks from the beach!!! I can’t wait. I am going to try to get my self up around 6:30 am to go get sunrise pictures but we will see. lol
      Any way yeah my week has been great!
    18. Katie Says:
      I was at that Dave Barnes concert in Atlanta too! It was AMAZING!! I was pretty sure I saw you guys but wasn’t completely sure.
      P.S. To JR I met you at Water’s Edge a couple of weeks ago when you played. I was one of the greeters at the door. ;)
    19. Heather Says:
      my weekends, hmm, normally the same thing every time, lets see, so friday all day I am like TGIF, then saturday rolls around, and I normally get on look up unhindered sites, and go on other stuff, and e-mail ppl, then I go walking for a couple hours with my friend, and then sunday is church (I love it, couldnt live without it) and then sundays are normally Family day, but it’s not a whole family no more..{RIP;; Dad 12-14-07}
    20. Natalie Says:
      Hmmm… lets see… I spent all off Friday night trying to de-stress after spending homeroom falling asleep and doing other homework and then getting caught.
      Saturday I woke up really late and then spent all day sketching and writing songs and stories. Then I worked on a website I’m making on weebly.com (its not done yet) and went to church on Sunday.
      I always have tons of fun at Sunday School cuz our church is so small only one other girl comes regularly in Jr. High. So we were sitting around lighting candles and bending paperclips. Its awesome, I love Sundays.
      Then I spent all Monday night dancing at dance practise. Its really tiring because after a lazy weekend its so hard to go to dance for 3 hours.
      I love weekends!!!
    21. BigBro Says:
      Hey Nat What is the address to the website you are making?… I also make websites so it would be cool to see what you are working on.
    22. Erica Kay Says:
      Well you guys sound like you have been having more fun than I have. I’ve either been working 10+ hours a day or taking care of my brother(he just had knee surgery). I wish I could get out of my small town I live in and go to shows and hang out places like you guys, but I can’t. Also I wanted to thank you for your guys great music. I have been able to share it with my friends and help them with their journey to the lord. Your music shows them, they can be christian and still listen to their favorite music. So thank you for everything you guys you have done.
      Erica Kay
    28. Joahnna Says:
      Weekends are fun…
      Saturdays I spend doing the Sunday Newsletter lay-out and editing to get them ready for the printing the next morning. When I am done with it, I just do anything. My sister Je and 2 lil bros Joseph and Josh (Yeah, our names all start with J… even mom and dad) just hang-out, watch tv, chill out. I read books. I looooove books. I sometimes do some clay-making or update my blogs online.
      Then Sundays, I go to church. Sometimes, I teach Sunday school for toddlers. Sometimes, we hold youth leaders meeting after the service. But often times, I just go home straight. Then sleep. Then we start our family prayer, devotion and fellowship around 7pm.
      For Heather, I am really so sorry learning about your dad. Don’t you worry. God is our Father who will never leave us nor forsake us. I remember one pastor at church said, “if it doesn’t make sense, then God is moving. He is moving in ways you cannot comprehend. Because He thinks differently. Wisely.” It’s really cool… And remember, all things work together for good for those who love God and for those called according to His purpose… all for those who love Him.
      For Miranda, You know what… The BEMA is my favourite. It made so much impact in me that whenever I feel down or I become faithless when something goes wrong, I think of The Bema so I can correct my ways before it’s too late. Because time is ticking away…..
    29. Ida Says:
      Johanna,
      time is Ticking away. i saw the bema twice. NYC and in Baltimore. I missed half of it in Baltimore because I was talking to teenmania interns… I almost got in trouble by my dad, aka youth pastor…. my favorite one is the one where they are in the guy’s brain. it is so ccol! it was last years skit.
    30. Andy! Says:
      When you said this is serious post i was like, “oh my gosh someone died. plz dont be pat plz plz plz! (not that i dont love the rest of u guys.) then i read it all and i was like. ” oh ya!”
    31. Natalie Says:
      Uhh, to BigBro who asked what my website was, its not online yet, I’m still workin’ on it. I’ll say on this post when I’ve got it up. Ya wanna know what’s hilarious? When I clicked on ur name it said ur from texas and guess what? I’m from North Dakota! Thats all the way across the country! That’s so cool!
      I know that was on April 17 but I didn’t check this post again until just now…
