Kids

Sunday, April 20th, 2008 @ 12:22 am | Uncategorized

This weekend we ran into the Sanctus Real guys again (we’re fans :) and Matt was mentioning that he and the drummer were both about to have a baby… His second! So I just got to thinking about the day that the Unhindered boys get them some chillin and what that will be like. Though a long way away probably, you never know I guess. I sometimes think about the privilege we have to travel around the world and see so many awesome places (like Breckenridge, CO where I write from now! :) and how one day I want to be able to share that with my kids. So lately I’ve been saving all my hotel room keys and writing the city, date, and venue on them to have one day to do just that. So what are some awesome things God’s put in your life or dreams you hope to reach you want to share with your kids when the day comes?

I hope you had an awesome show in Denver. The one in Baltimore was amazing. If I have children I would want to share with them about all the amazing and numerous Christian events I have been too like ATF, Creation, missions trips, and things like that.

      Later,
      Ida

    2. Alisha Says:

first of all…i love children. i am constantly babysitting, helping out in nursery, and i am volunteering which also involves helping or watching children. when i get older and have kids of my own i want to make sure that Jesus is a big part of their life♥…i also want my (future) husband and i to be involved in our children’s lives a lot. but having children and getting married is way in the future (for me at least.)

    3. Fernanda Says:

i can’t even begin to explain how uh-may-zin you guys were yesterday and the day before!! ATF was… was… i don’t even have words to explain! well i reall yreally love your guys music!!! (A LOT)

I love children! They are so much fun! I still have a while till I get married, but I would want to marry a christian man that is filled with the love of God and that will be a good father figure. One thing I have learned during my childhood is that no matter what, you have to have fun, because it goes by fast! I would have my children grow up in a Christ filled home, and do daily devotions. I have been to many Christian events in my life time, wich isn’t that long. I have been to Lifelight, Godstock, ATF, and many concerts. I would love to take my children to when they are old enough. That is what I would love to do, so far.

I also want you to know that you guys have changed my life, and your music has changed it to. I have finally accepted Christ into my life. I have gone to church my whole life, and I never really known Christ. Thank you so much!! Sorry I wrote so much.

      Love always,
      Kaitlyn :)

    5. Amy Says:

    6. Jesse Freeman Says:

You were amazing yesterday in Denver. Your guys’ energy along with the music helped change many of my friends life’s, as well as rejuvinated my love for christ. Thank you so much, I look forward to worshiping with you again

I’m eighteen, single, getting ready to start college, and I want to travel and go on tons and tons of mission trips….BUT…..If I could have kids right now, (If only I had a husband. LOL) I would give all that up in a heartbeat! I love kids and if I knew I would be able to support them right now and have a husband I would start poppin em out. J/K but close enough. The one thing I want to share with my future kids is God’s love and our responsibility to share Christ’s love. I have been on several mission trips with Global Expeditions to different places and I want my kids to be able to do the same.

    8. Joahnna Says:

I just finished school. 21. And ready to take on the world. =) Marriage and having kids are not part of my plans… yet. But soon enough, I know that God is going to put them all in perspective and in the right time, everything will be placed according to His direction. I am absolutely excited and thrilled to have a family of my own. I love kids. I am a Sunday School teacher at church and I teach toddlers. They are amazing! I hope you can get to meet them! I remember some of the kids in Sunday School sang Holy is Your Name during one of our church events! They were sooooo adorable! Well, one thing I want to share to my God’s Best (Future Husband) and my kids would be my love for God. I imagine myself going to Mission Trips with my family and serving the Lord. I also dream my kids would learn to play music and sing for God. Like what YOU guys do. ^_^ I wish one or all of my kids would grow up like my favourite BEN! Yes, Ben Smith! I want to see them play music and sing with SOOOO much passion for the Holy One! I want to see them someday serve God wholeheartedly. And also, I am gonna bring them to concerts and events of my favourite bands: Hillsong United, Starfield, Stellar Kart and OF COURSE! Unhindered! =)

      ~Joahnna

PS. Are you guys coming to Hamilton, Canada again for this year’s ATF? Because we hope you are! ^_^

    9. Lauren Says:

This year I started keeping a journal as my New Year’s resolution. Alot of times while I’m writing I’ll think of how my kids may one day see those pages and just think about all the stuff that I one day wished I could do, or even see how my hopes and prayers became a reality.
I hope that one day I’ll be a Christian singer (kinda like you guys!) and that my family will see that anything is possile with God. Now that’d be real cool…
      ~Lauren

P.S. Everything happens for a reason.

    10. Heather Says:

      OMG! I absoulty love children! I babysitt, and work in nurserys alot! uhmm, I do know I want God to be a part of my children’s lives. I always wished that, uhmm, I have been to some very amazing events, that made me soo much closer to God, for instance.. Detroit ATF.. This year was AWESOME! I loved hanging out with you guys. but sadly I was towards the back. so i couldnt actaully talk to you, or anything. I think you guys should become MORE active with the back of the concert, and make them feel a bit more useful. thats just some lame advice, cos most my advice is lame, but use it or dont.. I just wanted to let you guys know, I love Jesus, and I am 100% dedicated, I would like to meet you guys soon, if evr posible,, also please look at this site;; it’s for my family;;

Hmmmm… I think the thing I would wanna teach my kids about most someday is God and take them to a lot of Christian events.

I think I’d also wanna teach them how to play guitar and piano and other instruments because its so much fun.

    12. heidi Says:

When I have kids…I am most definitely going to teach them that God should always come FIRST and FOREMOST in their life and to share God’s love everywhere they go! Of course I will tell them about all the things i did as a teenager…like AFI and mission trips and stuff like that…teach them to use whatever talents they have for God’s grace.

even though the thought of having kids is kinda scary..its exciting to think of everything i can teach them about Jesus Christ and his love for them…i cant wait!!
      Heidi

    13. heidi Says:

i want to share my dancing! i dance at church! for God! lol My pastor calls me a “Dancing Daughter of Zion” which is really cool! i love to dance for JC and hope that my kids can too!

    17. Natalie Says:

Same here I was dancing at Sunday School today. It was awesome out so we went outside and I was practising my dance routine I learned last week! It was fun. Our teacher had to show a new member around the church so Joy, the pastor’s daughter, and I were showing eachother gymnastics and dance routines.

    18. miranda Says:

I love talking to and teaching kids about God. I really love sharing gods love with mentally and physically challenged kids at challenger baseball on saterdays. at church I help out in 1st grade to 6th and the cute pre-schoolers, i really love working in the nursery to try and figure out who these babies will become and how their relationship with god will be??? but who can really understand how much someone or even yourself loves god. I have a hard time understanding why Jesus died on the cross for me…i mean how are we worth something as amazing as gods love? what do we do??????? I guess we do what god sent us in this wold to do…PRAISE HIM!!!!! well thats all, peace
      =)
