no i don’t like them i LOVE them!! I have gone to 5 atfs 6 creations 2 revolves 1 king’s fest and like some concerts here and there… so you know just whatever…. but at 2 atfs and like some creations i saw him so you know it all adds up…

Yeah I love concerts that praise god too. But it does bug me when for ATF concerts most of the bands are there advertising their t-shirts and wristbands and don’t even mention God and some other bands are there to get attention and I truly doubt they’re even Christians.
Another reason to go to Unhindered concerts b/c they were one of the few bands this last year who actually had it be a worship service instead of just some concert w/o swear words! (btw, unhindered, u did an excellent job this year at ATF Minneapolis!!! Feb. 15-16)

Some of the shirts bands sell don’t mention God b/c other people might check them out them. Some do.. Like Switchfoot’s and Hawk Nelson’s and some others you just have to look at the words and graphics to find the deeper meaning just like you do in lyrics.

the Christian tees i like are the ones that bands like Unhindered and Relient K and Switchfoot and Hawk Nelson and the list goes on.. i also wear a lot of my tee shirts i get from going on events like atf and battlecry and missions trips so we can recognize each other as a group. i also like atf apparell.
Yeah, Danielle, I know the t-shirts your talking about! All the catholic kids have those but theirs have orange crush and say that verse about how those who are thirsty can come to Jesus and never thirst again. And of course the Cool to be Catholic shirts!!! I love those t-shirts and I saw an awesome one at church camp I wanna get that one that has the Geico Gecko on it and talks about ETERNAL life insurance. Have u seen that one?

ohhh thanks… I got a new favorite shirt… it has Horton and a bunch of Who’s making noise and it says make yourself heard.. and you know what.. I got it at Kohl’s
idk if I can afford any of those t-shirts. @ camp they get pretty steep in price so idk… I did start wearing my purity ring again. I took it off last summer b/c everyone kept on asking me about it and it started getting annoying. But since then I’ve become a Christian and I’ve seen girls that have turned dating into a hobby or a sport and its turned into all they think of so I’ve started wearing my ring again so ppl ask me about it and now I’ll actually have a good answer.
I really doubt I can get one of those t-shirts and afford it, but this ring I can wear for about everything except for softball and gym during the school year so I can @ least do this.
Besides, in small towns its hard to find any clothing stores, much less Christian ones.
They aren’t that cheap… They are a splurge but I consider it impotant memorial object that helps me remember the experience.. In fact I am wearing my shirt from BattleCry in Norfolk, I got last year….

I had a t-shirt that says no ringy no dingy and Christians laughed at me for wearing it on a missions trip because they thought it was weird… I mean c’mon the people we are supposed to be helping out can’t even read it.. and if your immature to laugh at it you aren’t what I would say is a true Christ follower.. I stopped wearing it though because it is a little small and I don’t want other Christians judging me…

my friend is goin through some thing we all well pro face but she and her bf have been goin out for like 5 months and there rly attacted but the only problemis hes agnostic and shes is very religious and she tryd i guess to convert him but now he has a hold of her nd she just stoped goin to church stop believing or having hope and she even got baptist last summer at ATF and goes to a christian school but i try to help her but she jsut say she changed her mind and thinks its a bunch of bull i guess all i can do is pray about it and leave it in Gods hand but if u could pray for her and her Bf it would be amazing
Danielle I’ll def pray for ur friend. That happened to this girl in my church. We were both in the school play and we were talking and she said once she turns sixteen she’s going emo and I was so sad!!! Not atheist, just gothic. I remember her saying “Natalie I’m just making a statement I’m not turning my back on God” and I remember that scared me even more than if she hadn’t mentioned God at all.
@ first I thought it was just to let her parents know how she felt b/c they were getting divorced but then a few days later I saw her w/ a new bf and he was emo and then I started getting why she did it. And she was emo for a while, but she graduated this year dressing the way she used to. Sometimes ppl change back, sometimes they don’t, its just something u have to pray for. I hope ur friend realizes what to do!!!
I don’t know if she dumped that bf or what, but they weren’t dating for long.
She stopped attending church when she was emo. We don’t have a good sunday school program for older kids, so I can sorta kinda understand her not coming. But she comes some of the time now, and she was there the last week of school to get congratulated for graduating in the worship service.
Ohh yeah shes been dating him for 5 months

I feel the same way about youth group. Only me and the pastor’s daughter come regularly, so the past few times there have only been like 2 or 3 ppl so we just waited for more to show up and then went home. It does make me frustrated when after no one shows up there’s a few of them across the street at the pool w/ boys learning how to skateboard.
One thing that helps is getting the pastor involved and having the parents get involved, too. My mom is already figuring out how much $ we need to raise to drive to ATF next year.
I had the oppurtunity to look up agnosticism so I did and the main thing I found was:
1. “Preach the gospel at all times, and if necessary, use words.” -St. Francis of Assisi. Let ur friend see the love God has shown you. Sometimes the thing that shocks ppl the most is when your patient and loving through everthing and they see that you really do have a stronghold that can deliver you through everything.
Sometimes just remembering 1 Cor. 13 and doing your best to show that love to everyone can help.
2. Still do things w/ ur friend, and don’t spend every minute talking about religious stuff. No one likes to be constantly told to fix something in their lives.
3. If she asks you how you can be so calm, loving, patient, forgiving, etc. tell her that God did all that to her.
4. pray that god will touch her life somehow.

yea in the beggin it was just me and my cousin (my uncle is the pastor same as your thing) and then we got 2 more kids but no one eles came after that just on sunday but never on youth group :[
but recently we started doing bible studies at the church and the only 6 people came but [this is the part that makes me MAD]
the guy who wasnt the youth leader but did the bible studies but he thought just because there was only 7 people we should stop i wanted to scream at him like we all almost cryd wen he said there was no more tuesday and we have no other leader to be the adult i mean we can do our own bible studys but we need an adult im so mad i pray that god just helps us with bible studys.
for my friend ; she like doesnt tlk to any of us its sad because we used to be bestfriend but she is all about her bf :[ and my cousin and her used to be close and once he was havin some troubles at home with his parents and he asked her to prayer for him and shes said ” i dont pray anymore but ill keep you in mind!” and she wint answer my calls, text, or IMs but im not giving up on her or stop praying for her.
Hey, don’t give up on the Bible Studies. You can go online and buy some material and devotions, etc. and buy some books on popular bible verses. Why do you need an adult? Church rules about chaperones?
We don’t have a youth bible study. I’m the youngest one at our churches bible study. Then comes the pastor as the second youngest, then my parents! I’m not kidding, but it is pretty funny though. And one lady asked me if I was a freshmen or a softmore since I looked as old as her granddaughter. I’m only a seventh grader!
7 ppl is a HUGE youth bible study! There’s gotta be a diff adult. Somebody’s parent, or maybe even the pastor.

also i found this interesting;lecrae hes a christian rapper he was agnostic in his teen year and he said all he was tryin to do ws look for the truth and then god came along. but thats rly why athiest and others fight christianity so much because they want to believe it so much they need someone to help them.

Good luck w/ ur youth bible study mission. I think mine is I wanna go places w/ my youth group. The only thing we do is ski together. So I’m thinking movie nights, maybe sledding during the summer, a pool party, and of course I wanna go to atf together next year b/c last year just my mom and I went and we found out about it like a week b4 we went.
Hey ur a good friend too. I guess I’ve sorta dealt w/ something close to agnostics but its not nearly as bad. My brother got in trouble w/ the law a few yrs back but he’s over 21 now so its okay, but I know what you mean. My brother is still not a Christian and he’s got the wrong kinds of friends and I feel like its a failure story when its not… My mom says when he was rly little he was so good at praying. Like it was really sweet and he had such deepwater faith and prayed w/ so much spirit and love… Its sad when u see someone who’s not a Christian start getting into trouble and you can see their spiritual gifts so clearly but they just reject it… Its not the same though. He’s not agnostic or an atheist, but I still wish otherwise.
One of the things that my mom and I hope will happen is that someone else will reach him. Maybe he’ll have some roomate whose a Christian or something but its not gonna be his mom I think and as much as I’d like to I doubt his little sister who still doesn’t trust him and blames him for a lot of stuff isn’t a very good candidate for that.
If ur friend won’t listen to u guys, maybe her bf will convert, and then she’ll listen to him.

omg i was so scared when i watched the trailer for 0809 b/c that morning i had a nightmare that there was a school shooting and seeing all the kids running and screaming and the principal telling them to get back to class just brought it back. it was pretty cool though

i was so shy i got held back in the 1st grade and my mom started me in karate at 8 yrs old ha but i guess thats good because im a brown belt and takin classes to become a teacher but it didnt really help wit the shyness lol :[
My mom was at ATF last yr w/ me too, and i think the main thing I missed was the concert b/c just my mom and I went b/c we got tickets super late and just found out about it so at the worship and the concerts I couldn’t dance or sing along b/c my mom and a bunch of youth pastors from other groups were all around me. That probably wouldn’t have stopped other ppl but it was enough to stop me!!!
I still felt close to god though, I went down front when everybody prayed so I did get some alone time and my mom and I had just had a six hour ride to get to Minneapolis so we got pretty close.
yea i got alone time to like i went to the alter call and the last night i snuck out of the group and well i was going to see the stellar kart table but couldnt find it so i stood next to one of the door walk ins and unhindered was playin father will you come and no other name and i just broke down so it was amazing and i didnt get in trouble bc my uncle came lookin for me and found me cryin so it was okay but idk i just cant get comfortable around like my mom uncle or youth group while like acually worship and being touchd idk why though :[
but i do usally either “accidentally” get lost in the crowd or ” go to the bath room lol ” but those moments are the best
I always cry on father will you come. I always listen to Give Thanks before i go to bed but i’ve become careful not to turn on Father Will You Come b/c it reminds me of so much stuff I don’t wanna think about, and then I spend half the night crying… well, the song certainly stirs up emotions.
I remember the first day before atf started i was sitting in my seat and a girl from a diff church and i were talking and then unhindered started playing and i hadn’t heard that song before and i was just crying my eyes out and she saw me and she gave me this look that said, “jeez! you poor thing! emotional much?” and all i could do was keep on crying. Idk what song it was, but i know i cried for at least half of them.
yeah i got it.
before i started talking w/ u i hardly ever went on, like once a month but the past few days i’ve checked it probably as much as this blog
trust me, i’m an emotional girl, and those songs are VERY STRONG AND POWERFUL. we shine is awesome!!!

the Christian tees i like are the ones that bands like Unhindered and Relient K and Switchfoot and Hawk Nelson and the list goes on.. i also wear a lot of my tee shirts i get from going on events like atf and battlecry and missions trips so we can recognize each other as a group. i also like atf apparell.

Yeah, Danielle, I know the t-shirts your talking about! All the catholic kids have those but theirs have orange crush and say that verse about how those who are thirsty can come to Jesus and never thirst again. And of course the Cool to be Catholic shirts!!! I love those t-shirts and I saw an awesome one at church camp I wanna get that one that has the Geico Gecko on it and talks about ETERNAL life insurance. Have u seen that one?
I don’t have the courage to wear those at this point… yeah I’m a total coward… good for you Danielle for having the courage to wear them!!!

idk if I can afford any of those t-shirts. @ camp they get pretty steep in price so idk… I did start wearing my purity ring again. I took it off last summer b/c everyone kept on asking me about it and it started getting annoying. But since then I’ve become a Christian and I’ve seen girls that have turned dating into a hobby or a sport and its turned into all they think of so I’ve started wearing my ring again so ppl ask me about it and now I’ll actually have a good answer.
I really doubt I can get one of those t-shirts and afford it, but this ring I can wear for about everything except for softball and gym during the school year so I can @ least do this.
Besides, in small towns its hard to find any clothing stores, much less Christian ones.

They aren’t that cheap… They are a splurge but I consider it impotant memorial object that helps me remember the experience.. In fact I am wearing my shirt from BattleCry in Norfolk, I got last year….
Natalie~ Way to go!!! Keep wearing your purity ring!! I had a t-shirt that says no ringy no dingy and Christians laughed at me for wearing it on a missions trip because they thought it was weird… I mean c’mon the people we are supposed to be helping out can’t even read it.. and if your immature to laugh at it you aren’t what I would say is a true Christ follower.. I stopped wearing it though because it is a little small and I don’t want other Christians judging me…

my friend is goin through some thing we all well pro face but she and her bf have been goin out for like 5 months and there rly attacted but the only problemis hes agnostic and shes is very religious and she tryd i guess to convert him but now he has a hold of her nd she just stoped goin to church stop believing or having hope and she even got baptist last summer at ATF and goes to a christian school but i try to help her but she jsut say she changed her mind and thinks its a bunch of bull i guess all i can do is pray about it and leave it in Gods hand but if u could pray for her and her Bf it would be amazing

Danielle I’ll def pray for ur friend. That happened to this girl in my church. We were both in the school play and we were talking and she said once she turns sixteen she’s going emo and I was so sad!!! Not atheist, just gothic. I remember her saying “Natalie I’m just making a statement I’m not turning my back on God” and I remember that scared me even more than if she hadn’t mentioned God at all.
@ first I thought it was just to let her parents know how she felt b/c they were getting divorced but then a few days later I saw her w/ a new bf and he was emo and then I started getting why she did it. And she was emo for a while, but she graduated this year dressing the way she used to. Sometimes ppl change back, sometimes they don’t, its just something u have to pray for. I hope ur friend realizes what to do!!!

I don’t know if she dumped that bf or what, but they weren’t dating for long.
She stopped attending church when she was emo. We don’t have a good sunday school program for older kids, so I can sorta kinda understand her not coming. But she comes some of the time now, and she was there the last week of school to get congratulated for graduating in the worship service.

I feel the same way about youth group. Only me and the pastor’s daughter come regularly, so the past few times there have only been like 2 or 3 ppl so we just waited for more to show up and then went home. It does make me frustrated when after no one shows up there’s a few of them across the street at the pool w/ boys learning how to skateboard.
One thing that helps is getting the pastor involved and having the parents get involved, too. My mom is already figuring out how much $ we need to raise to drive to ATF next year.
I had the oppurtunity to look up agnosticism so I did and the main thing I found was:
1. “Preach the gospel at all times, and if necessary, use words.” -St. Francis of Assisi. Let ur friend see the love God has shown you. Sometimes the thing that shocks ppl the most is when your patient and loving through everthing and they see that you really do have a stronghold that can deliver you through everything.
Sometimes just remembering 1 Cor. 13 and doing your best to show that love to everyone can help.
2. Still do things w/ ur friend, and don’t spend every minute talking about religious stuff. No one likes to be constantly told to fix something in their lives.
3. If she asks you how you can be so calm, loving, patient, forgiving, etc. tell her that God did all that to her.
4. pray that god will touch her life somehow.

yea in the beggin it was just me and my cousin (my uncle is the pastor same as your thing) and then we got 2 more kids but no one eles came after that just on sunday but never on youth group :[
but recently we started doing bible studies at the church and the only 6 people came but [this is the part that makes me MAD]
the guy who wasnt the youth leader but did the bible studies but he thought just because there was only 7 people we should stop i wanted to scream at him like we all almost cryd wen he said there was no more tuesday and we have no other leader to be the adult i mean we can do our own bible studys but we need an adult im so mad i pray that god just helps us with bible studys.
for my friend ; she like doesnt tlk to any of us its sad because we used to be bestfriend but she is all about her bf :[ and my cousin and her used to be close and once he was havin some troubles at home with his parents and he asked her to prayer for him and shes said ” i dont pray anymore but ill keep you in mind!” and she wint answer my calls, text, or IMs but im not giving up on her or stop praying for her.

Hey, don’t give up on the Bible Studies. You can go online and buy some material and devotions, etc. and buy some books on popular bible verses. Why do you need an adult? Church rules about chaperones?
We don’t have a youth bible study. I’m the youngest one at our churches bible study. Then comes the pastor as the second youngest, then my parents! I’m not kidding, but it is pretty funny though. And one lady asked me if I was a freshmen or a softmore since I looked as old as her granddaughter. I’m only a seventh grader!
7 ppl is a HUGE youth bible study! There’s gotta be a diff adult. Somebody’s parent, or maybe even the pastor.

and wat is rly sad is all our youth leaders droped out on us one because they had a baby and he started a karate school the other is moving and the other two just got married and he had to go out of state for 9 months on a job and my uncle/pastor is busy because basically the whole church has home groups in diff towns and they all go to one of them each week and he goes to check up on things also our old youth leader the one that has a new baby ad opend up a karate skool got me and half the church goin to his karate place even my uncle 3 times a week so its VERY hard to find an adult but im on a mission and not stopin
also i found this interesting;lecrae hes a christian rapper he was agnostic in his teen year and he said all he was tryin to do ws look for the truth and then god came along. but thats rly why athiest and others fight christianity so much because they want to believe it so much they need someone to help them.

Good luck w/ ur youth bible study mission. I think mine is I wanna go places w/ my youth group. The only thing we do is ski together. So I’m thinking movie nights, maybe sledding during the summer, a pool party, and of course I wanna go to atf together next year b/c last year just my mom and I went and we found out about it like a week b4 we went.
Hey ur a good friend too. I guess I’ve sorta dealt w/ something close to agnostics but its not nearly as bad. My brother got in trouble w/ the law a few yrs back but he’s over 21 now so its okay, but I know what you mean. My brother is still not a Christian and he’s got the wrong kinds of friends and I feel like its a failure story when its not… My mom says when he was rly little he was so good at praying. Like it was really sweet and he had such deepwater faith and prayed w/ so much spirit and love… Its sad when u see someone who’s not a Christian start getting into trouble and you can see their spiritual gifts so clearly but they just reject it… Its not the same though. He’s not agnostic or an atheist, but I still wish otherwise.
One of the things that my mom and I hope will happen is that someone else will reach him. Maybe he’ll have some roomate whose a Christian or something but its not gonna be his mom I think and as much as I’d like to I doubt his little sister who still doesn’t trust him and blames him for a lot of stuff isn’t a very good candidate for that.
If ur friend won’t listen to u guys, maybe her bf will convert, and then she’ll listen to him.

yea im sure God have another person reach your brother. But i will pray for him. we went so far for the fun of it and because it was a battlecry and we wwanted to go agian
and she got involved wit him through a friend or cuzin not sure but i heard that her christian church is an all girl skool and there all not christian like if u get my flow but i dont kno she used to go out with my older cuzin and he told me that she always doubtd God and he tryd to help her because her parents never went to church she herd of my church through a friend who brought her but then left and she stayd but her parents arnt there to help her with her spirtual growth.
but u should really think bout my suggestion its alwas fun to travel some where far even though we had to layovers for 2 hrs each just ment we all got RLY close <3

i was so shy i got held back in the 1st grade and my mom started me in karate at 8 yrs old ha but i guess thats good because im a brown belt and takin classes to become a teacher but it didnt really help wit the shyness lol :[

My mom was at ATF last yr w/ me too, and i think the main thing I missed was the concert b/c just my mom and I went b/c we got tickets super late and just found out about it so at the worship and the concerts I couldn’t dance or sing along b/c my mom and a bunch of youth pastors from other groups were all around me. That probably wouldn’t have stopped other ppl but it was enough to stop me!!!
I still felt close to god though, I went down front when everybody prayed so I did get some alone time and my mom and I had just had a six hour ride to get to Minneapolis so we got pretty close.

yea i got alone time to like i went to the alter call and the last night i snuck out of the group and well i was going to see the stellar kart table but couldnt find it so i stood next to one of the door walk ins and unhindered was playin father will you come and no other name and i just broke down so it was amazing and i didnt get in trouble bc my uncle came lookin for me and found me cryin so it was okay but idk i just cant get comfortable around like my mom uncle or youth group while like acually worship and being touchd idk why though :[
but i do usally either “accidentally” get lost in the crowd or ” go to the bath room lol ” but those moments are the best

I always cry on father will you come. I always listen to Give Thanks before i go to bed but i’ve become careful not to turn on Father Will You Come b/c it reminds me of so much stuff I don’t wanna think about, and then I spend half the night crying… well, the song certainly stirs up emotions.
I remember the first day before atf started i was sitting in my seat and a girl from a diff church and i were talking and then unhindered started playing and i hadn’t heard that song before and i was just crying my eyes out and she saw me and she gave me this look that said, “jeez! you poor thing! emotional much?” and all i could do was keep on crying. Idk what song it was, but i know i cried for at least half of them.
